BOULDER, Colo. – Aug. 29, 2007 – ProStor Systems, a leading developer of removable disk storage solutions, was named to the list of the "Top 10 Storage Startups to Watch" by storage networking website, Byte and Switch, that highlights a set of emerging data storage companies who have "a few lessons to teach the storage world."

ProStor Systems was honored with this ranking for having "staked its ground among the mounting competition to provide fast, cheap, removable disk systems that offer an alternative to tape." Other criteria for inclusion on the list included a creative take on storage technology, current impact on the marketplace, solid initial funding and an established industry presence marked by partnerships, customers or contracts.

The RDX® removable disk cartridge developed by ProStor Systems replaces entry level and midrange tape systems, including DAT, Travan and DLT, with a new backup solution that offers higher capacity, faster speed and lower cost. Deployed to back up and archive data from servers and workstations, RDX removable disk technology provides a reliable, easy-to-use and portable storage choice for SMBs.

ProStor is establishing RDX technology as the new multi-vendor industry standard in removable media for backup and archive applications. To date, Imation Corp. and Tandberg Data Corp. license the technology and manufacture and distribute RDX products through the OEM, retail and VAR channels.
