PROSTOR SYSTEMS NAMES NEW VP OF ENGINEERING

BOULDER, Colo., April 3, 2007 — ProStor Systems, a leading developer of removable disk storage solutions, today announced the promotion of Chris Alaimo to the position of vice president of engineering. Alaimo, who has been the company’s director of engineering since November 2004, is responsible for engineering and product development of ProStor’s family of RDX® products and systems. Alaimo has more than 16 years of experience in engineering and product development for the data storage and telecom equipment industries.

“Chris has demonstrated his ability to lead our engineering and product development teams in the design and expansion of the RDX® removable disk technology family. We rely on Chris as a vital contributor to our executive management team,” said Steve Georgis, CEO and president of ProStor Systems.

Prior to joining ProStor Systems, Alaimo worked for Quantum Corp. as an engineering manager, directing a large team of engineers in the development of SDLT tape storage drives. Before that, he held the position of engineering project manager for Network Photonics, developing control systems for the company’s wavelength switching products. Alaimo also worked at Carrier Access managing software development. He began his career at Exabyte Corp., where he was instrumental in developing new software and hardware technologies for the company’s tape storage product portfolio.

Alaimo earned a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and has been awarded five patents, with three patents pending.
